Old Habits Die Hard

I’ve been in London now for 16 months and feel completely capable of looking in the correct direction for oncoming traffic when crossing a street. Having said that, each time I look into a vehicle approaching me I search the passenger seat for acknowledgement that the driver has seen me. Seriously, I am going to end up flattened by a black cab one of these days. It’s always particularly stressful to me when I am running because both myself and the traffic are moving quickly and every second counts…seconds I spend searching for any sign of life in the wrong seat!
